Mission MX Case Study


Mission MX are the market leader in the supply of motocross equipment and apparel. They needed a website that showcased their products and promoted their brand. Webfaced created it on the Actinic platform.


Mission MX [www.missionmx.co.uk] has grown to become one of the UKs largest retailers of motocross equipment. With a huge range of products from bike parts to protective clothing the brand approached Webfaced in 2011 to redesign their image and rebuild their site on the Actinic eCommerce platform.

Objective:

Starting with the design we worked hard to understand what the brand’s market looked like, what appealed to them and what they believe to be important in a supplier. We created an identity that helped to quickly show the values of the brand and the excitement of the product area. With some thought to usability we began development in Actinic.

Solution:

We generated numerous Actinic add-ons and plugins to aid the user in their search for specific products. We created a filter and sort tool for product categories, a fully automated navigation system, customized search results and engine and a simplified checkout process to ensure that conversion rate improved upon relaunch.

Results:

Sure enough, the relaunch was a success with the site making an immediately positive impact on the business. This left us to begin working on an online marketing strategy to support the site which is still being supported by Webfaced's experienced online marketing team.
